Come on now! Who has seen it & what did you think?
I saw it on opening night &.....I LOVE IT!!! Heath's rendition of the Joker met with my full expectations. And they were very high I will say. ;D

Umm...Yes, Heath Ledger (who played the Joker) passed away earlier this year from an accidental prescription drug overdose. Which makes his absolutely wonderful portrayal in the film fairly bittersweet since he is unable to hear & share in all of the praises that are being given to the film. I have a memorial thread for him here.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble Laurasia but that wasn't Heath as the Joker.... that was the Joker!!
Granted I was sleepy as heck when I saw the movie but it was great!

I feel kinda bad because I fell asleep for a few minutes. I'd worked the night before and hadn't been to sleep yet. But I did see all the good parts.

ok. Who has seen the orignal batman. This was by far worse movie this year because of the joker in this one. he didnt even have a sense of humor. Was nothing even close to how the joker is and always was sapose to be in the orignal comic books first shows or the orignal movie. Really was disapointed wiht this one. i liked the first of these new ones but not this one. Jack was the best joker and that still stands.

Yes, I've seen the original Batman & do love that film as well. However, this new version of the Batman is meant to be more "realistic" as a whole. Hence the reason that we were shown exactly how Batman became so efficient at his crime fighting instead of simply being "superhuman". That also extends to The Joker.....he is a psychotic sociopath, as he would be in real life. He had a sense of humor, it was only amusing to himself however - as is the case with most such individuals. No supermen, no comedians, just stark reality into some rather similarly twisted minds....that is what the Dark Knight was about.
