~A Seed of Hope~
I feel that there is no hope this day my eyes refrain from sleep; Why do I try to deny my fate? of spending eternity, diminished in the endless Deep.
There is no hope, they call out to me from afar I feel naught but mental anguish; The pain is searing within my scars. I should bow before them; then the agony would vanquish.
What does it matter, for all will soon be lost. none will miss me in my absence; Will I try denying the Enemy at any cost? I see no purpose, the Earth is already in chaos.
I feel there is no hope; we cannot win the fight. Some see a victory, that we can once again live free. It is said there is One who can reclaim the Light. His uniting of the Kingdoms will heal the White Tree.
He is descended from the Kings of Numenor. In his blood run the virtues of strength and greatness. He is destined to unite the West forevermore; I now view my fight as no longer hopeless. My spirits rise...I will fulfill my Quest; I will face the Shadow and end my journey. Perhaps our tales will be told with all the rest throughout the Ages hence...
...of a seed of hope that blossomed into our Victory.

Once again Brandybuck. You have a way with words, what can I say except I hope I can one day write half as good as you.

Awww. *blushes* That is a really sweet thing for you to say. You are already a very expressive writer, and you are only going to get better as you get older. Thanks for the positive feedback y'all. This poem is very personal to me and it means a lot. It took a lot of energy to write it, so I am glad that everyone enjoyed it.
