Hi everyone. I can't believe that I forgot to make a thread about this subject! I LOVE scrapbooking! I created 2 pages last night actually. One for each of my nieces. I also have one that I made a while ago using pictures of two of my great, great grandmothers. I love that page, it is one of my favorites. I have a couple other pictures of some of my oldest relatives as well (such as my great, great grandfather) that I also want to incorporate into scrapbook pages. As far as preferred styles go...I'm most definately a "traditional/heritage" scrapper. I don;t care for pages that are really busy, too colorful, etc. I absolutely adore antique-looking pages. Simply & soft. Sincerely, Laurasia

I can honestly say that I find no personal interest in scrapbooking. I do think that it must be very fun for others, and I see all the fun that you have making these pages. So anything that makes a person truly happy, I say go for it!

Hi guys. I just wanted to mention that I am so happy that there is now a wonderful line of scrapbooking supplies available at Dollar stores here in the US. When I first heard of them I though "Oh great, the Dollar Store. they'll probabnly be really loud & tacky looking supplies." I was very pleasently surprised however,as they are rather nice. I have bought two sets of specialty papers & stickers so far. One is of floral papers with sunflowers & such with antique-looking letter stickers. The second is a baby set (for my new niece) that has some cute corresponding stickers & some glitter-star letter/number stickers. I was also able to get some specialty scissors for cutting shaped borders...& all for $1 each!!! ;D I just love a good deal. Sincerely, Laurasia

I feel the same way as you do. Also at the dollar store, they had a pretty wide variety of writing tablets as well...some of them were even better quality then you see at other stores.

boogeyman, LOL. It is indeed "Dollar Tree" what we have in the U.S. We also have a few called "99 Cent" stores, but they are not that good.

I would like to know more about scrapbooking, since I'd like to offer one to my sister for her birthday.

I don't usually look online for scrapbooking supplies or ideas (my computer would never support things such as digital scrapbooking ). However, I have heard that www.scrapbook.com is supposed to be a one-stop emporium for supplies, ideas, etc. I was recently on a scrapbooking binge. I was able to finish an album of my two nieces & have been able to create some more fmaily heritage pages of some distant (& not-so-distant) relatives. Sincerely, Laurasia
