Greetings, I just wanted to wish everyone a happy holiday! So what did everyone do? I watched Monsterfest on tv, as well as the live Ghost Hunters which runs until 4 am!! I also passed out candy to the 2 trick-or-treaters that we got (the rest was mine).

Well you know what I did baby...the same as you. LOL! Except for the spell I did to help me with connecting to a specific pastlife that is. ;D And I loved your costume. The fake skin & paint job were awesome. Then again your makeup jobs are always awesome. I, as you so lovingly pointed out earlier this evening, ended up looking like a demented Raggedy Anne. LOL! That's okay though...demented is good. Those fake eyelashes were a real pain though! Looked pretty cool, but they were a pain anyway.

LOL!! I calls them as I sees them. No, seriously, you looked awesome. And thank you for the compliment on my make-up job..it started itching something fierce after awhile so I couldn't leave it on as long as I would have liked!!

mine sucked.... just the usual school and work. I didn't even get to go trick-or-treating... no haunted house, no party, nothing... Glad you two had fun though. Demented Raggedy Anne? What were you two supposed to be?

Well...I guess a demented Raggedy Anne. LOL! I wasn't really going for anything. I just bought a red wig with horns, some super long 1/2 black & 1/2 red eyelashes, red & black stripped tights, & red eye makeup.
Sincerely, Laurasia

I was a skeleton..a long dead one. I used the basic Halloween paint that they sell, and I also bought the stuff that makes your skin look like it is peeling off. To top it off, I used white spray to make myself look ancient.

I have spent samhain in exactly the same way the last few years.I got work from a theatre company painting kids faces at community events dressed as a witch in a costume i made. So i was doing that from1-8pm. While the money is great , it means i have no time left to persue any kind of meditation or trying to connect with the energy of the festival ., which i regret a lot. Maybe next year il take the day off

Is there any way that you could work only half a day next year?? That way you could still earn some money as well as have time for spiritual work.

Even though i got back early , i still had to do the whole trick or treat thing with the kids.So its pretty hectic either way. Im going to make sure , though in future , maybe when they are asleep or the night before to make some time.Even if its just an hour , at least i wont be regretting it for another year. Im not even sure what it is i would like to do. Maybe prepare some handmade gifts for the spirits of my ancestors and relatives who passed away recently.Or just take the time to listen and be quiet for once.

Both of those ideas are very good choices, dear.

You could also have a private dumb supper, Rowan. As long as your stomach can handle food right before you go to bed that is since you would be doing it later at night. Sincerely, Laurasia

A dumb supper is when you & your family, or you alone, have a meal & set out an extra plate of dinner for the spirits of your deceased relatives or ancestors in order to welcome them into your home. Sincerely, Laurasia
