I absolutely LOVE these soundtracks..and there being three of them makes it all the better:) Sometimes I will listen to them while lying in bed with my eyes shut, and I get transported to Middle-Earth. For anyone who is (or wants to) researching their past lives in Middle-earth, this is the best around for conjuring the memories. Just a hint--I know that cassette tapes are pretty much obsolete now anyway, but you should have these on CD for meditation purposes, so you can select and repeat desired tracks.

Hi Brandybuck. I have to agree with what you have said here. I often sleep with the song "Evenstar", from The Two Towers, on repeat all night. VERY relaxing. That is also the song that I usually have on repeat during spells/rituals & often for meditation. As far as the entire bringing up spontaneous past-life recall...You are definately right there. Which is why I have such trouble listening to the Return of the King soundtrack...it's very painful. Though it is also the quickest method that I use to have recollections from Faramir. So it's kind of like a double-edged sword. And, as you know so well dear Brandybuck, the New World Renassaince Band's music serves as a soundtrack for Middle-Earth in & of itself. Sincerely, Laurasia

Of course..which is what I listen too often as well. I like to listen to anything with a "hobbit" sound to it, and it triggers my recalls. "She Moved Through The Fair" does that for me from NWRB. On the LOTR soundtracks, it is usually the Shire theme, Gandalf's Lament, and various others. You are right about the double-edged sword thing. I know that the emotions can be painful, but remembrance in itself is a very painful process.

I love the first one. It is the only one I have though. I play my pennywhistle along with the song In Dreams and I am trying to learn Lament for Gandalf(will transpose yet again sigh). The music grabbed me the first time I saw the movie. The faint little strains at the first rivetted me in my spot(my neck sure hurt).
