I can't seem to find a topic for them anywhere, and considdering how awesome the last book was, I'm shocked *waves a finger at Middle-earth Pagans* tsk tsk, failing as fans of the fantasy worlds..or something.
I'm still reading it but then again I'm still reading them all, over n over again. Feels really weird to read the last n then the first after each other. going from Harry Potter, renagade hero of the world with an arsanal or magic spells, back to Harry Potter, that weird kid who lived with sucky family and then went to a weird school of magic stuff. Like prehaps even JK never thought her Harry would evolve so much (Wimpy boy digivolve toooo....super badass Auror..mon).
Oh and did anyone ever read beedle bards book? I thought about it but it looked a lil random n uninteresting.
Let the discusion begin (pweese)

LOL! You're right, I'm shocked that I or Brandybuck have never started a discussion regarding the Harry Potter series. We are both HUGE fans. We have read all of the books. Doing the typical fan things such as purchasing the Deadly Hallows right at midnight & reading it in 2 days. Amanda is more the type to re-read the books while I'm more the type to re-watch the movies. I've not read the Beedle Bard books for pretty much the same reasons as you Trojianmaru. Needless to say, we are very excited to have The Half-Blood Prince coming out in theaters next month. Hopefully I have a new job by then so going to theater won't be a big deal.

With the last book I tried my hardest to read it slowly and savour it instead of reading it in 2 nights n running out of stuff to read. I truly couldn't belive it when Hedwig died, it just seemed impossible for him to die so easily, and then when Mad Eye Moody got it. It just seemed like all the regular rules had been thrown away and you were left with a story where anything could happen.
I've tried re-reading the stories but my reading patience seems to of gone down these days, and I was seriously upset with the harry potter movies after that da** amatur french director took over (in prisoner of azkaban, soooooo much was changed, I spent the whole movie being annoyed and ranting to my parents about this n that being missing, and this n that just being wrong, n where the heck did that come from. I especially hated the new directors move to make them wear their robes as little as possible, trying to make them look like regular people n try n ignore all the magic as much as they could "iz just 3 normal children, going to zee their friend 'agrid, who 'appens to be tall" (thank you fleur for teaching me french). and they completely missed out harry's accuio training in goblet of fire. my fave thing was how hard he worked to be strong, they just made it look like "ohhh I just remembered a good spell, accuio!" though I did like what they did with the time travel in azkaban and my most fave thing, mmmm hermione ^^ and cho chang ^^.
I heard there were also two other books, like Hogwarts school book and history of quiditch or something like that, with little notes from harry ron n hermione (mmmm hermione) in the margins.
strangely enough, I haven't even got round to completely watching Order of the phoenix, I think I was worried the director would ruin it yet again. and I hate that this will apprently be the last movie. No deathly hallows is what I heard. Though the actors are getting pretty old.
Oh and I heard talk about a gay harry/dumbledore relationship in lots of reviews but I didn't see any of that in the book.
ANd the ONE thing I hated about the books. is Rita Skeeter never ever got what was coming to her. Kinda like a guy I heard of in america, Ben O'reilly. (though she would be in my top 3 hot Hogwarts girls from the movie list).
Good luck getting aj ob, you could always get a jub as movie projectionist ^^ or pirate, arrr. n I haven't been to the theater since Star wars episode 3 was big, you can't lounge aroung n talk in the cinema, and everyone gets annoyed when you pause it n say "just going to the loo"

What I hated about the Deathly Hallows was the ending. It was waaay too open! You can't have all of the build up & investment into so many characters to simply have a little blurb about what happens to them at the end. It should have been an entire chapter spent explaining how their lives & relationships with one another turned out after everything was said & done. I was extremely upset by that. (Just as upset as I was when Anne Rice decided to stop writing about her myriad of characters before writing out Santino's story in full. ) I do have to say that I was absolutely correct about the true nature of Harry & Voldemort! The moment that horcruxes were brought into the books I vehemently stated that Harry was the final horcrux. Everybody told me that I was wrong & it was an absolutely crazy thought that didn't make any sense, but I stood by it. I was sooo happy to be proven right. ;D The movies don't bother me, but that's because I'm more of a movie person anyway. LOL! Though I have to agree with you about their robes. they should be wearing their robes at school. Actually, yes, there are at least a couple of other small "Hogwarts books". Mandy & I have "The History of Quidditch" & "Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them". They are supposed to be Hogwarts text books. I love the fantastical beast book. It explains all of the magical creatures from the Harry Potter world & has little commentaries from Harry & Ron in the margins. I love the Order of the Pheonix! Of course, I love Voldemort so the further along we get in the series the more I'm loving the movies. LOL! Actually the Deathly Hallows is going to be released...into 2 seperate movies. That's the great thing about the actors being older now, no more minor laws restricting how much they can work! All of that garbage about Dumbledore being gay was not anything that will be seen in the movies. The fact that Dumbledore's character is actually gay is simply something that JK let slip once (It's nothing that she actually put into the material, just the greater "fleshing out of the character" for her own mind while she created him), that was then blown up by all of the homophobes in the world.
