Well, the subject kind of sums it up. Anything you wish to know about a sanguinarian, ask it here. If this thread goes as planned, your question should be answered in due time. (That is unless it's way out of my reach then I'll be searching for the answer with any and every source I have, which might take a bit longer ) I know of at least one other sang. here other than myself so maybe that person wouldn't mind helping if need be. -Stitch

Ok I'll ask a question of my own. Who's your sire Britt?

If a sanguinarian needs blood to live, then how and when do you know you are one? I mean, with energy vampires, people can feed without knowing it, which is, I gather, what very young ones do (who do not know yet.) But how does a young (child) sanguinarian survive? Drinking blood isn't exactly something you can do subconsiously. How do they survive until the point when they figure out this is what they are, and can do something about it?

Hi Aelish. I'm fairly sure that I can answer this one accurately. (Any of you Sanguinarians feel free to correct me if I wrong though. ) From what I understand a Sanguinarians dependence upon blood doesn't start to effect them until sometime between the ages of (usually) 15 to their early 20s. What causes this "awakening" I'm not sure, some think that it may have something to do with the vampires changing hormones. Anyway, after their dependence is activated they must then begin to learn about what they are & live accordingly, otherwise they will begin to suffer the same consequences that us other vampires suffer from not caring for ourselves properly. Hi Stitch. Ok I'll ask a question of my own. Who's your sire Britt? I was wondering about your use of the term "sire". From my understanding, Britt & yourself are mortal Sanguinarians. I have only heard the term "sire" being used in regards to Immortals. That being the case, is "sire" a term that mortal Sanguinarians generally use in regards to those other vampires that mentor them? See...Even I can ask questions. Sincerely, Laurasia

Hello Laurasia. That, I'm not even sure of. I haven't been doing my research as well as I should... yes I'm a slacker at times. As soon as I find out I'll be sure to let everyone know. Yep, you're right. Mentor, guardian, helper, whatever you wish to call it. Most of the time it's the one who "awakened" you, so to say. Although mine is no longer with me. I still have a lot to learn.

Not a problem at all Laurasia. Anyone can ask anything, whether it be a curiosity or just something you want to know.

Well it isn't just us. Ok I'll ask a question of my own. Who's your sire Britt? I know it's not just us, it's just the way you worded it babe. Anyways the question...i dunno who my sire is...oddly enough...I don't know much about myself.I know i was born this way but my "awakening" to sang was when i was 13 and my druid was when i was 4 and pagan i don't remember the age. I don't even know my age (spirit wise) but mom told me that even when i was a baby i had old, wise, knowing eyes and still do. I deny it but mom proved me wrong with a picture and a mirror.....she said it's not as bad now as it was. But anyways...My awakening wasn't like most others..i guess cause of my great-great-great aunt....I dunno but i still remember that night almost like it was just today...it's very vivid. I'm confused, i dunno what i am or anything anymore! well, I love you baby. *~*your confused lady*~* ~*~Britt~*~

Well I'm pretty sure you know who mine is/was. I remember like half the night.. maybe. hehe.. your eyes were as you say, mine were sapphire blue (according to the parents). I'm not sure if you can see it in the pic I sent you. You really are confused if you don't know much about yourself.

Mom was laying in bed one night when she was pregnant with me. She woke up to that uneasy "i'm-being-watched" sensation. and there was a man in a cloak with a long beard and staff at the foot of the bed. he seemed to float over beside her and placed his hand on where my head would have been and there was a peacful feeling and when he turned to leave mom cried cause she didn't want him to leave. she reached out to touch him and he just shook his head no and stepped away from her then left through the wall, like where the bookshelf used to be. I dunno what happened or what it means but...yea. He had a wooden staf that looked almost druidic. mom said it had a carving of an animal on it but i don't remember what it was she said she saw on it... maybe that's why I don't have a sire? or know who mine is... besides i did some research and found this: The persons who turn vampires are generally wizards, witches, suicides, and persons who have come to a violent end, or have been cursed by their parents or by the church. (Encyclopedia Britannica) I dunno if the definition applies to my case or not but it's what i found. it's on VampireRave.com
i found this too: Each race of vampire share similar, although not identical, abilities. Each race of vampire have different origins, unlike man. An example of one race is the Kindred, as portrayed by White Wolf. The Kindred are then further subdivided into "clans."
that's all i got for now so if anyone can help me figure out exactly who/what i am...plz plz help...knowing my age alone is appreciated!
