Hi everyone. I'm adding this thread because, obviously, there are other types of vampires out there besides my own kind. Also, I know that there are some here amongst the members. And why should they be left out? Anyway, many of you already know my stance regarding giving out information that I do not know from first-hand knowledge. I will only do so if I am absolutely sure that the information is accurate. That being the case, my input within this area of vampirism may be limited (depending on what types of topics arise regarding it). I would hope that some of our resident Sanguinarians will help out if needed. Alright so some basic information regarding Sanguinarian vampires...(Forgive me if the information seems a bit scattered. I am doing this off the top of my head. ) 1) Sanguinarian vampires (often called Mortal vampires - along with us Energy/Psi vampires) are born the way that they are & are not created by "being turned". This being the case, they cannot "turn" others. 2) There is a huge difference between actual Sanguinarian vampires & Lifestylers/those with a blood fetish. A true Sanguinarian vampire has a physical need to feed from blood. If they do not feed regularly they suffer the same types of symptoms as us Energy/Psi vampires (physical illness, neurological/psychological disturbances, etc.) 3) Stereotypes are thrown out the window, just as with us Energy/Psi vampires. They are not repelled by religious items, the same is true of garlic. They are not "evil" & many are very spiritual/religious people. 4) The process of blood-letting (feeding) is very personal & precise for the proper, safety-conscious Sanguinarian vampire. The first item of concern is the spread of disease, so (as mentioned above) they use regular donors that they know very well. It is also not unusual for drug-testing to be done before the relationship is established between the vampire & a potential donor. The blood-letting itself is done with a sharp, sterile instrument. There are also typical parts of the body that are preferred, so as to prevent any possible tissue damage to the donor. Sanguinarian vampires should NEVER cut/bite their donor in the neck region! This is because the risk of damaging the tissue/tendons/ligaments is very high in this area, not to mention the chance of cutting something that should not be cut. Usually the incision will be made on a large area like the thigh, shoulder blade, etc. The skin is pulled taut & an incision just deep enough to bleed is made. The skin is then pinched together, to make the blood pool up, & the vampire then licks it off. A vampire should NEVER suck at the wound, as tissue damage occur.Okay guys, that's all that I can come up with right now. There's more, I'm sure, but I can't think of anything at the moment. I'll update this post or thread as needed later on. Sincerely, Laurasia

Hello Laurasia. Knowing you, if you don't know a certain thing you'll find the answer. I'll help with what I can but I will remind you I'm still young so I don't know everything there is to know. But I will do what I can.

Hi Stitch. Yep, you know me well. I hate advising on topics that I'm not positive about. And if I am asked about something that I'm not sure of, I will try to find the most accurate information that is available to me. I understand that you're young. You, however, will have a "birds-eye view" of what these things are like. Hi Brandybuck. I understand that you won't have much to contribute in this thread & that's fine. I am glad to hear that you have enjoyed the information that I have supplied thus far though. ;D Sincerely, Laurasia

Hello Laurasia, "Birds-eye view" isn't always the best. I've been told many times that "sometimes you have to step back and look at things from the outside to see the real picture." I know for a fact there are at least two. So you have even more help if you need it. -Stitch

I hope nobody will mind that I revive this topic. I've read through it, and I've been reading a lot of things in the Realm, and I rather post this here than there. A couple of symptoms for which I'd love some explanation. Forgive me the complete lack of order. I've been thinking a lot about it, but I still can't talk about them in a systematic way. At first, I have a severe iron deficiency. I've been taking iron for a few years, with multivitamins, and my iron binding capacity (or what's the proper word for that) is fine. But I still have that iron deficiency. Somehow the iron I'm taking is not enough. About one (or two, who knows) years ago I was a voluntary subject for a study of cardiovascular health. The doctor was surprised, she said my blood vessels are in an extremely good condition which is very rare even in my age. She said my biological age is younger, and people in my age (I must have been around 21) can have such cardiovascular condition only with a very healthy lifestyle. I wasn't living THAT healthily those days, though I always tried to keep fit, but I was a bit obese (my metabolism is extremely slow), and didn't care too much about healthy lifestyle. But even back then I was stronger and quicker than other people, who were fitter than me. Now that I'm living healthily and exercising regularly I'm making incredibly fast progress. But I still feel very tired sometimes, though I learnt to control it to some extent. And there were cardiovascular problems in my family from both sides, though the affected people still lived to their 80's. I never liked the taste of blood. If I got cut accidentally I drank it of course, why waste it, but couldn't stand the taste. But in the last I don't know how much time, let's say about a year, I'm longing for it. When I'm cooking something and some animal blood is still in there in the raw meat the taste makes me want more. Maybe it's connected to my iron deficiency. I never liked the taste of raw meat, neither, but now I like it. I also have an empathic ability, since my early childhood, not very strong, but I can see aspects from people's lives, some tableaux they are thinking of, and the few occasions when I could verify my intuitions proved they were correct. But those pictures are not precise and detailed. And I can tell what people are going to say, and the things they decide not to say aloud after all. But this is not uncommon, I think. And that preternatural knowledge about things in the world, especially people, ages, culture. I had known things before I learnt them or heard about them. And I got bored with them too quickly, when they have no new meaning for me anymore. In the last few years I feel very awake at night, and don't notice how quickly time goes. But I'm tired during the day, even if I slept enough (I usually have to, because I feel really tired). I feel even weaker when I'm out at the sunlight, I sometimes get headaches, nausea, and my eyes are a bit hurt from the strong light, but not too much, thanks God. I also get a sunburn very easily... my skin was always pale, and when exposed to direct sunlight, instead of getting a nice tan, became red, and got painful blisters. But I like days and sunlight, though I like the night, too. After all, nowadays I can live easier at night, which makes my life hard because I go to university, and I want to work in my profession. I don't want this tiredness and weakness to stop me. My hearing and smelling were always heightened. If there is silence on a street I often walk I can hear people in their houses coming to the doors. At one night from my window I could smell a cat. I don't know if it was really that cat, because the smell was very strong, but after smelling and looking around I saw a cat. So those two senses of mine are quite good. While my sight is not, I'm a bit near-sighted. My eyes adapt to darkness a bit quicker than other's eyes, but only a little bit. And of course, in the city the noise and stench is killing me! Sometimes a sharp noise or a terrible smell really hurts me, and others seem hardly to notice it. I was always this way. Does this mean I'm a Sang? If so, it's very hard to find donors here. I tried psi-feeding since I first managed to sense energy. I didn't believe in such things for long years, and I still don1t understand them at all, but there is a great professor at the university, and I participated her course about hypnosis for a semester. She made only one group hypnosis (I felt absolutely nothing), so it was not in practice, but she talked a lot about her expreiences, the wonderful intersubjective realty between the hypnotist and the subject... cases when she started to feel her patient's physical pain while the patient healed... when the patient was riding the stationery bike, and she got sore muscles from it (in an active-alert hypnosis session), and caes like that. She has a very powerful, charming personality. Really suggestive, the way she was talking about them, her enthusiasm, and I was feeling the energy, the power of her strong emotions fill the class, flow between the participants, in the air... After these experiences I could quite easily sense energies from emotions, and since I've read about it at the Realm and similar places I managed to feel from those (people let them flowing anyway, they don't get harmed if I "suck" from it a bit). I felt a bit less weaker after it, but it can't substitute blood for me. Sorry for the long post. I hope it won't bore you, and you won't judge me for it. This is the first time that I talked about this. I'd be pleased to get some opinions. Thank you.

I hope you don't think I'm crazy or making things up. Deeply in my soul I think I'm a sceptical being. Some of you may remember at my early times in the Realm when I thought magic was a nonsense, "a tale told by an idiot", and a member told me there are things I would understand with time. I've seen many things since then, even if I didn't want to. I always smile when I think back of it. I didn't think she was right. But she was indeed.

Thank you for the link Hadassah. Though I encourage everyone to not take everything that they may read online, even from myself, as being absolutely correct. Individuals are just that, individual. What is correct for one may not be correct for someone else. And all information found should be tempered with logic & common sense. If it doesn't hold up to either, it most likely is false. All of that being said, here is yet another site that others should find extremely helpful in regards to information on all forms of vampirism..... The Vampire Realm of Darkness.

I have some vampire questions? Can a donor and vampire become close friends because of the feeding? The reason why I asked is because children become close to their mothers when they breast feed and I have seen some comparisons to both. Also does a donor have to be careful what types of drugs they are taking when feeding a vampire? And if the donor is drunk can the vampire get drunk when feeding?

Okay, these I can answer. Yes vampires & donors often become rather close due to the intimacy of what they share together. However, there are also pairings that make it a point to remain "strictly business-like" with one another. So it varies from pairing to pairing. Yes vampires & their donors have to be very careful regarding anything with the blood being shared. Drugs can be a big problem due to the chance of them adversely mixing with any drugs or supplements that the vampire may have within their own system. And while I doubt that enough alcohol would be ingested via bloodletting to intoxicate a vampire they need to keep such things as how any alcohol taken into their system would effect any medical conditions or medicines that they have as well. Sincerely, Laurasia

Is it safe for a mother vampire to nurse while she is drinking blood from a donor? Could the drugs from a donor get into her milk supply and effect her baby?

If I were a sanguinarian mother & my donor used precription drugs I would not feed from them myself, just to be safe. Sincerely, Laurasia
