1 (2 lb.) package frozen has browns, thawed
2 1/2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
2 cups sour cream
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup onions, chopped
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted
Salt & freshly ground pepper to taste
2 cups cornflakes cereal, crushed
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly butter 7 x 10-inch oven proof glass baking dish. Combine hash browns, cheese, sour cream, soup, onions & 1/4 cup of butter in a large bowl. Season with salt & pepper. Transferred to prepared baking dish. Mix cornflakes & 1/2 cup of butter & sprinkle over potato mixture. Bake until browned, about 45 minutes. Serve immediately. Yields: 8 - 10 servings.
