Yesterday would have been my daughter's Sarah Michelle's 18th birthday. About 17 yrs ago Sarah died on September 16th in a day bed. She got her body wedge between the bars and matress of the day bed and choked to death while we were all sleeping. She was only 18 months old when she died. She was very magnetic in drawing people to her. Many people liked her. Even people who just meet her cried when they heard that she died.
I often wonder what she would have been like in this life and what she would have looked like. What brings me peace is my belief in Heaven. I know that she is there because I had a vision of her there. Her grandma had a vision of her celebriting her second birthday. She said she was dress in white dress and riding a white horse on top of a giant birthday cake with smiles and laughs. It was a much better picture to vision then her stick in that day bed.
Seventeen yrs later a beautiful healthy baby boy was born on September 16th. It was my grandson Nic. I know that this was a gift from God to bring a healing. September 16th was a very sad day for me. But now this coming September 16th I will be celebriting my grandson's 1st birthday.
I am sharing about Sarah to warn parents not to put their children in day beds. They are very dangerious beds to toddlers and infants. If your arm can fit between the foot board and mattress then a baby can slip between the foot bed and matteress. Always make sure that your arm can not fit betweent the wall and bed or foot boards because children can get into these tight places and die. Also make sure the bars of a bed or crib are not too far apart. This is how Sarah died because the bars were too far apart from each other.
I hope in sharing this information that another child won't die the way my Sarah died. Here is a picture of a day bed that comes close to the bed that she died in.
