Note: I would have had this up sooner, but my internet accessibility has been limited.
He was found dead in his NY apartment on Tuesday, the 22nd.
He was definately one of my favorite male actors. (I LOVE "The Order" - even though most people seem to think that it was pretty bad. His scene that..."had something to do with painted sunflowers" alone was GREAT!)
From what has been said in the news (& I absolutely HATE the way that the media has to try & make "something" out of every little "nothing" in someone's lives during times like these) it appears that he either died naturally or from an accidental drug overdose (prescription mixed with OTC - not crap like crack). Though I'm merely speculating, it sounds to me as though he was taking a prescription medication for insomnia & took an OTC on top of it because it wasn't working for him. Sadly, that kind of ignorant misuse regarding OTC medications happens much too often. People by something OTC & think that since you don't need a prescription for it it's safe to take, or that the dosage instructions are simply "guidelines", etc. Perhaps this was Heath's purpose in life this time around the wheel (besides giving life to his beautiful little girl Matilda), to bring ignorant misuse of medications into the public eye.
I will definately miss him - as he was definately one of the best current actors in the field. Hopefully he is finally resting peacefully. (Something that he seems to have been having quite a problem with as of late.)
Sincerely,
Laurasia
