I'm not sure if Pagans and Druids are part of wicca but if you know a better place. I'll move there ^^.
I'm not sure if anyone would know, since the majority of awesome people online are in america but recently at the summor solice (I think you spell it that way), a lot of Druids, pagans and hippies went to Stone Henge to celebrate and had a huuge party with awesome music and showing off and history talking -I assume, I wasn't there though- but the next day, after they all left, they left the sacred stone circle an absolute dump. Plastic bags, rubbish, left over cans of beer and food everywhere. Instead of doing the druidy and pagany and hippie thing, and looking after mother earth, they just got pissed up, got high or stoned or whatever, then left to find another excuse to party. It was left to the cops and the local residents to clean up after them.
correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Paganism and druid..ism and hippie....ism? all about loving nature and the world and being one with nature? even going so far as to wear really itchy clothing just so you don't kill a tree or something. I wish the so-called druids, pagans and hippies could be dragged back and made to clean up their own mess, but by now they're probabbly in another town, bragging about how much they love gaia and how they want to save the whales just to impress people.
Anyone else here about this? thoughts n opinions cause this really P***** me off, Druids and pagans or one of the few awesome things England has left from the good old days, like the example of a good noble religion. If the only druids and pagans and hippies of this new world are lazy hypocrites, then everyone will just laugh and belive what christianity used to say about them

Oh yes, the Summer Solstice at Stonehenge is reputed to be one of the most popular Pagan gatherings.
I have to say that I'm shocked & upset to hear that they all left the place in such a state. You are absolutely right that they should be ashamed at the conduct.
You are right to think that Pagans, Druids, Wiccans, etc are all supposed to be Earth-worshipping to varying degrees. I do know that there are always some people at any large gatherings that only show up to "have a good time, get their rocks off, & leave". Unfortunately even Pagan gatherings are not immune to such delinquents. I am shocked to hear that the true Pagans did not take it upon themselves to be sure that such a sacred site was left in the same condition that they found it in.
Sincerely, Laurasia

all I know of stone henge is it was very important in my book. Mark Chadborun's end of world (or something like that) where the heros hide there so that the fabulous beast can't see them. That and it's a beautiful place.
As was I, and yes, if any did stay, they weren't mentioned and were very hard to spot in the pics. And the state of the area was so disgusting, it was almost like a gypsie caravan site after it's been abandoned (the bad gypsie sites, not the good gypsie sites). Maybe they've all given up on loving the earth, like no longer visiting your termanly ill aunt. Or maybe they were all fake Pagans n wiccans n druids. (same as the al queda claming to be muslim when i think they're just really pissed off guys that speed-read the muslim bible)
And there were defonatley some that came just to get drunk, one of the pics I saw showed your typical drukern thug being carted off by police, and his face was full of such anger and pure hatred that it could be called pure evil. I couldn't imagine it ever of being a normal human face and could never think of anything in the world that would give you the right to be so pissed off at anything (especially to have that kind of face at a peaceful festival), though there was no mention of who he was or if he was the majority or the minority. (is it just me that always gets an urge to slap those kind of guys who get angry and do evil for no reason whatsoever n just tell them to stop being a little b****?)
And if all sacred sites are being left in the same state as stone henge, by their so-called worshipers, it dosen't show much hope for our future.

Oh no, Stonehenge truly is a sacred site...not just in Mr. Chadbourn's books. It should have been respected as such, especially on such a sacred day for the site. I wouldn't worry that all sacred sites are being maltreated in such a way. At least I haven't heard of any other Pagan gatherings turning out like post-Superbowl parties.

I already knew stone henge was sacred, I find it hard to understand anybody not knowing how important it is, it's one of the few things we english still have to be proud of. Do you ever go to these kinda pagan gatherings? (and what did you do for summer sollice?)
XD and dear gawd I just got an image of a long bearded druid with one of those beer hats on, with the two tubes shouting "woooo 5-nill" or whatever superbowl fans shout

No, I don't have any large Pagan gatherings to attend in my area...too rural. The closest thing to "Pagan gatherings" that we have around here are Renaissance festivals that attract Pagans from the surrounding areas. Again though, even that is 90 miles away from me.
On Summer Solstice Brandybuck & I went out to our own circle in the woods (Standish Wald Grove) & celebrated in our own way. We like to go out there take care of the surrounding area, feed the wildlife, etc.

that sucks but I guess in this day and age where everything is concrete and e-mails. it'd be a lot harder to get the pagan gatherings, though your area sounds perfect for one. and I don't think I've ever been 90 miles in my life. he**, is Britain even 90 miles long?!
it's awesome to hear you take care of your wildlife and such, I'd never even know where to start. wouldn't feeding the wildlife, turn them into tame life though?
and do you have any wolves or "cool" animals? *sigh* I'd love to live in peace with a nearby wolfpack, wild to everyone but me *dreams away*

Oh we don't feed them by hand, so they don't become tame....especially out by our Circle. It's back in the thick of the woods, so the only time that people are usually out there is when we go back there. We leave food out there for the animals & birds. In our backyard we have numerous types of birdfeeders & we leave corn out back for the animals.
As to the type of wildlife we've seen around here....we have white-tail deer, wild turkeys (those two are our daily visitors), various rabbits, moose, elk, black bear, bobcat, coyote, timber wolf, red fox, chipmunk, squirrel, various snakes, etc.
