I never saw the first season, since I don't actually have the HBO channel. However, we are getting HBO as a free preview this weekend & I was able to catch the premiere for the second season. (I had to look up some of the characters & such so that I wouldn't be completely lost as to what was going on. LOL!) I have to say that I really liked it. So much so in fact that Amanda & I are hoping the rent the first season from the video store next weekend & watch it. So...any other True Blood fans here? Sincerely, Laurasia

Well last night was the final night of the free HBO preview. We did get to tape the second episode of the new season before we lost it though. It was just as good as the season premiere.

Yes, it's an American show that airs on the HBO channel. I'm not sure, but you may be able to view episodes (or at least parts of the show) online somewhere. Perhaps on YouTube? That is if your computer is able to view video - which mine isn't.

gaah, having serious hatred for Gootube right now. On june 15th, they're gonna change our channel layout to their new better layout (compulsary), claiming "hundres of thousands of you have already changed to the new layout" and "wow we didn't expect you to love it so soon". Even though the comments on their info vid and blog, just from two pages of comments I checked. 4 people are for the change, over 200 are against it. if 100s of 1000s of people love it, where are they? fecking gootube. (still very pissed off about it)
and yes my computer is able to view vids. I spend most of my time using it to watch anime or movies or read manga (as well as msn and yahooIM) or watching *cough* >.> other kinds of vids. but those vids are a secret between me and my virus riddled hard drive.

LMAO! You want to know how your harddrive probably became virus riddled, Trojianmaru? Well, Amanda decided to purchase the first season of "True Blood" yesterday, so we hope to be watching it over the weekend. ;D

lmao, nooo thank you. I have a pretty good idea and even though I know where the viruses come from, I keep going to the same sites and doing the same things thaat probabbly get me more viruses but *shrug* I just make sure never to enter anything important. if somevirus puts a key logger into my comp, all it's owner will get is my passwords to a few forums and e-mail addresses.
How were those true blood thingys? since you wrote that before the weekend? (and I'm still not 100% sure what it's about)

We didn't get around to watching it yet. LOL! We ended up renting a lot of movies from the video store & watched those. Then on Monday I badly threw out my lower back so I've been laying low all week. As soon as we get around to watching them I'll be sure to post about it. Since yesterday, & for the next couple of days, we'll be watching the Twilight Zone marathon on SciFi. It's an annual tradition for us....just like we do on New Years.

ahhh sci fi, I miss that channel. used to love watching Lexx on there. they started it on channel 5 a while back but super late at night n I always felt like I shouldn't really be watching (since I was now old enough to realise it was borderline porn, just like xena and hercules ^^')
I think we might be getting true blood soon too, though we have freeview to maybe not us

Well we started watching the first season DVDs last night & it's great! What was really amusing are the extras on the DVD. They have TruBlood (the synthetic blood that the vampires purchase & drink in the series) commercials; commercials for dating services, hotels, & lawyers that are all aimed towards vampires; & a "mockumentary" about the "coming out" of vampires in America & around the world. We've been able to watch the first 4 or 5 episodes so far & it's good. It would be more of a cliffhanger/headscratcher if we hadn't already looked up the backgrounds of the main characters (spoilers are a pain like that ), but parts of the show must have seemed pretty messed up to viewers who had no idea what was going on. LOL!

sorrry, I went missing again ^^' been meaning to come online for months, but you know how it is when for some reason, your mind always says "later" even when you really wanna do it.
True Blood ^^ they brought it to england. watched a few episodes of the first season so far. the gay chef guys is the best. He'd remind me of the todd from scrubs, if not for the fact that he always seems to get results (even if the guy thinks he's straight). it's just the right amount of realisicness, without going ott (like needing a genetics degree to know what the he** they're saying)
I was gonna watch it with my mom. soooooommmeee body should of told me how much sex was in it. seems like every episode someone is getting funked or blown or flashing their tits. even the porn channel previews don't show that much tittage.
hopefully I'll stick round for a while again

Oops! Yeah I guess I did forget to mention how much sexual content there is in the series. LOL! I hope that things weren't too uncomfortable between you & your mom when you watched it. Is she even going to watch anymore of it?

lmao, yeah no kidding. The first season seems to be ALL about sex. Blood whores and sex slaves everywhere, n the main character is an innocent virgin that allll the vampires wanna peice of. THEN even she stops being innocent. Should be on Pay-per-view.
N nope, no akwardness with me n mum. She was upstairs talking to dad when it started, while I was downstairs watching it, n when I say the bouncing boobies n suction, I went to my room n told her we weren't allowed to watch it together.
I don't think she watches it anymore, she was only gonna watch it with me cause I told her how popular it was in america with my american friends (not mentioning any name..mostly cause I can't spell yours) but if I was mentioning names, one of them would begin with L. (and it's not Yagami Light)

Yeah there's a lot of sex in the series. It's not pay-per-view.....it's a prime time series from the HBO network, that should say it all. If it's prime time on HBO you know that there is going to be sex. LOL!
Now that it's over, I can't wait for the second season to come out on DVD. Brandybuck & I were only able to catch the first two episodes from it before we lost our free preview of HBO. LOL!
