I love to make necklaces, bracelets , earrings etc. I have been collecting beads and findings ( loops, hooks , thread, wires,)for years now. They usually sell for about $10 or i give them away as gifts or keep them myself. Its one of the things i love to do. Some of the charity stores sell old secondhand necklaces for less than £1 or theres a bead store you can buy beads separately. I make pieces to order if someone cant find a chain to match their outfit for a special night. when I'm making it i lose all track of time. Anyone else like doing this?
Another think i love doing is recycling old materials and making new things from them. The glass paints are fairly expensive to buy so i used old half empty nail polish and mixed the similar colours together.
I collected old jam and honey jars. The hexagonal ones were lovely. After they are washed out ,I painted patterns and designs on them and when it was dry drew and outline for the patterns with permanent black marker. when that was done i put tealight candles in and arranged them in between my plants on the balcony for the night time . They look lovely and they are windproof for the candles not to blow out. The only thing is that this is best done outdoors becaue of the nail polish fumes if there are children or pets around.

I have tried my hand at jewelry before as well. It is enjoyable, though a bit tedious for my taste. The candle holders sound adorable. I also like to recycle materials into something useful whenever I can. You really are handy to have around! ;D

Considering that I am a candle-holder hoarding freak, I would love your holders!! Laurasia is right, you are very handy to have around. I used to make jewelry for art projects. Let's just say that I was much better at drawing and painting.

Cheers you two. It can be tedious making the jewellery , especially if when a chain is almost done you decide another bead would look better somewhere in the pattern and start the whole thing over again. Which happens a lot .

Sometimes I create jewelry. I never sold any. I usually give them as presents. My mom, my sister, and my grandmother love them. My grandmother has asked me, more than once, to create some so she would offer them to some of her friends.
