The first happened when i was around 17 or a little younger one night around 11pm. Myself and my friend Jackie saw my ( then )boyfriend Asa walking towards the beach close to where we live. He was close enugh to hear us but didnt respond to our shouting to him , instead he seemed to hurry away when we ran after him .We recognised his jacket , jeans and trainers and his haircut and build.
We both got more afraid as we almost caught up with him , only to have him turn a corner to a dead end bare lane that ended in a high wall and completely disappear.within a couple of seconds out of our view.
At that moment both of us stopped dead in our tracks , turned to each other and said " i KNEW that would happen".
We had both had a gnawing sensation that something supernatural was happening because it was totally out of character for him to behave that way and i knew that he would disappear the second we lost sight of him.Jackie and I were both very shaken for days afterwards.
Later on the real Asa came home, he had been down the local park i think with friends all night til he came straight home.He thought it was hilarious us chasing a total stranger towards the beach.Since then Asa has passed away.

The second time i was around 22 and staying in a hotel in a tourist village in Wicklow on the bottom of a small mountain that had a footpath leading up to a hill walk. The path winds around the mountain with a wall along the cliff overlooking a rocky shore of the sea.
My boyfriend Kojak had been missing for hours and myself and his little brother Mikey went looking for him around 8pm. We spotted him standing leaning over the cliff wall , peering intently into the rough sea below. He was about 10 minuteswalk up the steep gravel path and the weather was really stormy. It was late summer and still daylight but gloomy because of the wind and rain.
The wind was howling so when we shouted to him we wernt surprised he didnt hear us at first , but as we got closer and closer , we both realised something was wrong . I thought he was possibly considering suicide , staring into the sea like that.
It seemed as if he couldnt hear us and once again , a feeing of dread came over me and i grabbed mikey by the arm.
We both turned and ran down the steep path all the way to the hotel, terrified. once again , i just knew it wasnt Kojak we had seen.
Turns out he had been in the games arcade further down the beach and came back later on . The path passing the hotel is the only access to the hillwalk and nobody came back down after us , we watched til Kojak arrived back.
