Okay, I've already failed two driver's licsense tests and will have to go a third (explicative deleted) time in early November.
Why have I failed them? Because an evil combo of nerves and terror hits me and wipes my mind of anything I ever learned. Oh, and an inablity to see the cones. And that I'm in a 94 Eclipse that I can't see out of very well. But mostly nerves and terror.
Is there a spell of any kind that I can work to rid myself of the nerves and terror long enough to pass the bloody thing? I just want it over with at this point.
Thank you.

Hi Laiwing. Well I would certainly hope that this doesn't happen evertime you drive, only when you are being tested. Otherwise I don't know if I would want you to pass. LOL! Anyway, have you tried grounded before the test? That could work wonders for you. Or carry a calming stone such as hemetite on your person for the test.

I can think of one spell from the top of my head. I suffer from bouts of anxiety, so I have tried quite a few things myself. Here is one:
Spell for Nerves
*Add one teaspoon ground cumin to half cup of water. *shake well. *Let it sit quietly for three days in a dark, cool, serene place. After the three days have passed, strain the liquid.
Use the water as a compress on the forehead, or sprinkle it where negative energy is present. (For example, before you take the car for your driver's test, sprinkle some water throughout the car..like the steering wheel, floormats..and even the outside of the car to make you feel a little safer.)

Here is another that I found on a website:
Anti-stress Spell
Add two teaspoons of valerian root to one cup of boiling water. As it seeps, chant:
Nervous anxiety, you are dead. Roots and water, soothe my head. Bring to me your calming peace. As I will, so mote it be.
Note: To cut the taste you might want to strongly sweeten it with honey.

Also, I have found that anything with Lavender will work..especailly in the bath. Bubble bath, shampoo, conditioner..or even the herb itself (make sure to use a tea ball so as not to mess up the water).
After your bath, try some Chamomile tea to relieve any remaining stress that you could be feeling.

Laurasia: Don't worry, it's only when I'm being tested. At this point, I've heard "you must learn to drive" so often, it's gotten bigger and bigger in my mind, so much that if I don't pass, it's the end of the world.
Brandybuck: The Chamomile won't make me drousy, will it? The place I'm being tested in is unfamiler to me and I need to stay on my toes.

Hi Laiwing. That actually is most likely the problem, hon. Try not to worry about it so much. And, no, chamomile shouldn;t make you drowsy. Unless you have an allergy to ragweed, then it may aggravate your allergies.

did you ever get your driver's licenses. I got mine at age 38. How I over came my fears of driving was a lot of prayer. I find that prayer was the best spell. Just praying for a safe jounery seemed to help.
I didn't pass my first driving test either. I had trouble with the paralle parking. I am still scared to go on interstate 81. I still have not face my fear to drive this high way.

My aunt was never able to learn how to drive, because she has terrible anxiety. So it is not unheard of that you weren't able to get it until a later time. Good for you that you were able to overcome that fear. Hey, I still won't go over 60 miles per hour because I hate high speeds.

I still have not driven on interstate 81. I had to go to Harrisburg for legal things for my daughter. I have to go back in November. I know I have to face this fear. It will be dark at 5pm in November. My step mom said she would go with me and drive. I told her maybe I could drive and she could just coach me.
Or maybe I just need to practice driving on the interstate with another license driver before this apointment.

If you are scared about it dear, it would probably be best to at least practice with someone in the car before then. I hate nighttime driving, and you would be hard put to find me driving anywhere alone in the dark.

Yes I agree. I hate night time driving too especially when I don't know where I am going. I am ok if I know the area but I really do have a hard time with seeing at night.
