I am very curious about my past lives. Since I was little, I had views and ideas that seemed very different from the people around me, and it is still like that. Sometimes I wonder whether this has something to do with who or what I was before this life. Besides that I am just curious, it is my past life after all.
But I have never seriously tried to look into past lives. I'm not sure why, but sometimes I feel that I just want to look at the present and the future, that knowing too much about my past might make me "live in the past", as they say. Or maybe I will see somthing terrebly disturbing.
What would you guys reccomend? I think as long as I have any fear or apprehension about this, I won't be able to do it, even if I try. But I wonder if I should put away the emotions and try anyway. I think it would be possible; but what if my feelings know best, and they are trying to keep me from knowing things for a reason?

Speaking for myself, I have remembered at least three past lives, some a lot more than others. I will not lie to you and tell you that these long-buried memories do not hurt. They hurt very deeply at times...sometimes it can feel like it only happened yesterday, when in fact it happened thousands of years ago. However, on the other hand, learning about your past lives can open up a whole new perspective on how you currently view your life. i have been aided in a positive way from mine. Sure, it hurt as I took my journey through some of the more horrible memories, but there was light and understanding at the end. Certain traits, beliefs, etc. tend to follow a soul through various incarnations. I have discovered things about myself in the present time, that began way back on my samsaric path. The positive ones, I have embraced more fully, which has resulted in me feeling a lot better about myself. The negative things that you realize about yourself allow you to focus on bringing these into balance with your positive ones. I never say eliminate..because I feel that ALL of who we are should be brought into balance. One cannot acheive balance by eliminating whatever they feel they do not need. I feel that the truth is that you need to embrace all of your being to feel whole. Past-life study will REALLY help you with this. I do have a final piece of advice for you. Do not rush anything! Let the memories come to you as they will. If the memories flow easily, stay with it. However, if at any time your head begins to hurt really bad, that usually means you are concentrating too hard, or simply that you are not ready to remember yet. Take it slow, and you will see results. Good luck..if you need any help as you follow your path into your past, my PM box will always be open to you.

I have a question: With each new life you have a completly different brain. How does the past memories come if your brain is a different brain?

It's a little difficult to explain, as there are differing explanations.. Basically the back of your subconscious holds the keys to your past incarnations, you simply have to figure out the best way for yourself to access those memories. Others like to think of it more as a "collective memory" type of situation. And some prefer the idea that all souls originate from "the original source" & will return to that source once they are finished with their life cycles...these people feel that their minds remain connected to that source & that they are accessing the memories from within it. I have another question: How many past lives does a person have to live before they can go to Heaven? Is there anyone who is born a new soul and only lives one life instead of many? Is the past lives another chance from the creator to get things right?

It varies, hon. There are many different views of exactly how reincarnation works. The most common thought is that a soul will return to "the source" once they have experienced everything & learned all of the lessons that their soul needs to learn. Then again there are also people that feel that we never get "off of the wheel". Sincerely, Laurasia
