Very interesting read artanaro! I have always found it funny that the Hobbit calendar is days apart from ours. Perhaps I took something else from my past-life..we are forever celebrating holidays a week in advance to a few days. We hardly ever celebrate birthdays on the correct day. Maybe I am still stuck in Shire-reckoning!

Hi Artanaro. Very interesting indeed! I have to let you know though that Brandybuck is not kidding. In fact, her parents are like this as well. LOL! If truth be known, I fully believe that her mother was a Hobbit in a past-life. Most likely Gaffer! LOL! (Sorry hon, I couldn't help myself. ;D) Seriously though. Her mother acts/believes just like Hobbits do. It's comical actually. And, no we don't celebrate holidays/birthdays on their proper days. (I have grown accustomed to it after so many years of being with them.) But as far as Shire Reckoning & all of that goes...Ack! I never did have a head for the differences in the calanders, so I don't worry about it too much. I get a headache just thinking of trying to calculate the differences. Sincerely, Laurasia

She does remind me of Gaffer..she doesn't atke anything from anybody, and she says exactly what is on her mind. Well, you know the popular theory with reincarnation Laurasia..that we travel through samsara with the same souls through eternity.

Hi Brandybuck. Yeah I know, that's why I say she was Gaffer in a past-life. Anyway we should stop, we're getting off-topic. Sorry Artanaro. Sincerely, Laurasia
