Did anyone see the Passions of Christ. I have to say that it was not a pop corn movie.

Yes, I own "Passion of the Christ". While not something that one would watch everyday, I do like this film.
Sincerely, Laurasia

I saw it. I think that it was very disturbing. It was so true to life that it made me cringe!

Yes Brandy Buck it made me cringe too. I had to look away from the film at times. I am glad I saw it but I could not own the movie myself. It was just too emotional for me to watch again.
I do have other movies on the passion of Christ but I could not own this one because it was just too real and made me vey emotional.

That realism is precisely what made the movie so good. I really cannot understand any Christian that claims to have been surprised by how bloody & awful Jesus Christs' ordeal was. Is this not the entire point of being a Christian? To know & understand exactly what Jesus Christ went through for you? To feel remorse & gratitude for the suffering that He endured for you? It was not pretty, it was not pleasant, it was not meant to be any of those things. The very fact that Mel Gibson did not sugercoat it was a very good thing in my eyes. Sincerely, Laurasia

Yes I did like the movie and Mel Gibson did a wonderful job at making it pretty real. And I don't believe the movie should be sugar coated. It needed to be real. I believe it is my personal love for Jesus that caused me to have a hard time watching the film. It would be the same as seeing your brother or father or boy friend or husband die that same kind of death. It would be painful for you to watch.

I understand that it was hard to watch. That is how it should be for a true Christian, in my opinion. I just don't like when I hear Christians saying it was too gory or graphic. The ones that staunchliy refused to watch the film because they felt that it "blasphemous". I mean it didn't portray anything that wasn't written in the Bible. Sincerely, Laurasia

Agreed too . It was a brilliant movie ,I sobbed during parts of it. The utter inhumanity of the guards broke my heart. The subtitling didn't interfere at all for me ,i hardly noticed it at all.

It seemed very real. I never saw a movie of the crufixion that seemed very life like and written in the Hebrew language.
