I just got back from watching this movie. I liked it, the friends I was with thought some of the scenes were nasty. Of course my wicked little mind thought they were awsome. Pretty good movie in my opinion. If you've seen the other Hannibal movies, I'd say you need to see this one, being it actually shows why Lecter was as demented as he was.

Humim gonna watch it simply to see the histroy. on some dvds they have his FBI profile. Over all though i doubt it will be as good as the others cuz to me Anthony Hopkins Made hannibla lector. I say Lector to try and cause no confusion about the hannible movies or person from greek histroy.

I really have to say that "Silence of the Lambs" was the best. And I agree that it is very difficult for me to see anyone other than Anthony playing Dr. Lector, but I do want to see this movie as well.

I think Gaspard Ulliel did a pretty good job. But really, go see this one. Of course it shows why he wanted revenge, but also how his family actually died, where his methods came from, his traditions... everything. I'm not going to give any specifics becuse that would spoil it for you guys.

I am interested in seeing this movie also. I agree that it would be strange to see someone other than Anthony Hopkins playing him. However, it is supposed to be Hannibal as a teenager..so they had to get a different actor.

I like the movie, and the book. I don't think it explains Lecter, maybe some of his actions, but not the person... even an ordinary person can't be explained, and he is too versatile and brilliant to dissect with a "blunt little tool" I think Gaspard Ulliel did a fine job... this was the first film I've seen him in, and I liked him very much.
