This is one of my absolute most favorite shows. I just love the professionalism of Jason, Grant & the rest of the TAPS team, as well as their closeness like a family. Not to mention that I find the subject matter fascinating. Sincerely, Laurasia

I agree..this is an awesome series. I have always been interested in the supernatural as well, having had quite a few experiences myself. I used to love MTV's Fear, and was heartbroken when it disappeared without explanation from the network. However, Ghost Hunters blows it out of the water. Where Fear started to get a little crazy with their dares and veered away from the actuall investigations, Ghost Hunters is all about getting the job done in a professional manner. They actually care about their cause! I hope that it never ever leaves Sci-Fi.

Hi Brandybuck. Well, you know what Jason always says..."Email the Sci-Fi people & let them know that. That's the only way to be sure that it stays on-air." Sincerely, Laurasia

I bet that they have so many people doing just that. I will be sure to do that the next time that I visit their site.

Well, last night was the season finale. *sighs* I have no idea what to do in that time slot on Wednesday nights now. For any others who watch this, there will be one final new episode of Ghost Hunters on Samhain at 10 pm eastern time. So I guess last night wasn't goodbye after all. *cheers up immensely*

Hi Brandybuck. I know! I'm going to have to start barraging the Sci-Fi Channel with requests for a 3rd season of the show. LOL! I was also VERY happy to hear about the extra episode on Halloween. And what a final episode eh?! That full-bodied apparition that they caught on the thermal was crazy! It was also pretty cool to find out those two little tidbits of personal information on Jason. Sincerely, Laurasia

Yeah, it was a very interesting one for sure..season finales are always the best though. I have no doubt that there will be a third season..it is just too popular of a series. Once a show has a devoted fan base, it will usually stick around.

Hi Brandybuck.
Well, that's usually the case. I just keep remembering how MTV cancelled their show "Fear" in the middle of the 2nd season with no explanation or mention of it. There are tons of fans from that season who were very upset to simply be "abandoned" by the network, especially mid-season.
Sincerely, Laurasia

I know..but Fear began to get very cheesy, and actually had a lot of people doubting their authenticity anymore. I myself, was included in this. I think that Fear became a "rating metropolis". Not the case with Ghost Hunters..they have only gotten better. Do not fear..they will be back.

Hi Brandybuck.
Oh I agree completely about Fear "selling out". My point was even though it had a huge fan base, they still killed it mid-season.
Sincerely, Laurasia

I think that Jason would end up in prison if they treated his show in a bad way like that. Can you imagine? Besides, TAPS is now doing museums, houses, etc. that are internationally renowned. All of the people that own these places know that TAPS is the most reliable source out there right now. So, as long as the demand comes in from clients..add that to the fan base, and they are not going anywhere.

Now that I have been to their website I can honestly say I haven't seen the show. I don't know if we get it in Canada or at least not right now. I don't even think I've seen commercials for it. Although I may have... they don't look like what you'd think a paranormal investigator would look like (which is the point I suppose.) If I didn't know they were investigators I would have thought they were mechanics hahaha.
But it does look very interesting, and I would love to see the show. Anything on that topic really peaks my interest. Hopefully it'll show up here soon *crosses fingers*

Oh Kirsty you don't know how hard I laughed at this! In fact Jason & Grant (the two head investigators, that founded the TAPS team) are professional plumbers for Roto Rooter. ;D They use quite a bit of their technical training with plumbing/electrical equipment to help with their de-bunking of possible paranormal activities when they are investigating. For example, when they investigated the St. Mary Luxury Cruise Ship one of the woman giving them their initial walk-through trying convincing them that this huge "drum" in the underparts of the ship made strange noises even though there was no power going to it. She didn't know that they are professional plumbers & they immediately recognized the "drum" as being one of the ships water heaters. Therefore, when they were doing their investigation that went down there with their thermal cameras & sure enough the big 'ole "drum" was hot from the water that was coursing through it. LOL! They've also taught there team members to be very mindful of any unusual EMF readings that they get. Especially if they are found near the ceiling in a basement, as this is usually caused by the plumbing lines/electrical wiring that is rigged up in the ceiling of the basement/floor of the main building. Plus they make sure that they search for any possible electrical reasons on main floors when they get strange EMF readings. For example, in one show an investigator was getting all exciting because whenever he aimed his EMF into a certain room he would get a rather high reading & he thought that it meant that there was paranormal activity in there. Jason went looking in there & found that the buildings electrical meter was visible through the window. He took the EMF & started aiming it around the room & found that the "strange" readings only came up when the EMF was aimed towards the window. So it wasn't really anything within the room, it was the meter outside the window. Sincerely, Laurasia

Whoa I am phycic hahah Yay!!!
I'm sure it comes in very handy being former plumbers. They know all the exact sounds plumbing makes. I think thats pretty cool.
On Most Haunted most of the buildings they go into are old castles that don't have the same kind of plumbing and electricity. Not to mention the walls are usually made of solid stone. Their paranormal investigators go into the buiding the day before and check every inch of the place before hand instead of doing it immediatly when they arrive on site.
Although *stratches head* I do belive that spirits can communicate through sounds even if those sounds are coming from the pipes. It could very well be the spirits working through the pipes to communicate, or the pipes are reacting to the presence of the spirits.
