Hello everyone.
I don't think that I need to ask if any of you like the films. LOL! I think that we've all been touched by Middle-Earth in a rather special way. For me, it has brought a stronger sense of calm & "connectedness" to the energies around & within myself.
In what ways has the Lord of the Rings movies touched/affected/changed you?
Sincerely, Laurasia

Hello WolfFlame. I think that a lot of us can relate to the "awakening" idea. Perhaps on different levels/circumstances, but I like the way that you described it...awakening. Sincerely, Laurasia

It gave me an escape I desperatly needed at the time.
My parents had found out about my fiance (they only know him as a boyfriend, though), and I was in a very poor emotional state. I spent most of my time crying. A time I just... I wanted to kill myself. I'm past that now, though.
Then my mom rented The Two Towers on DVD. The relationship between Elrond and Arwen strongly resonated to me at the time and I resolved then and there to learn more about this story.
And well, here I am, a practicing curuni.

For me, the trilogy makes me remeber what matters most to me in this world..my family, my friends, and staying true to the beauty that is nature. That is all worth fighting for.
It also shows me that no matter what race you may be..Man, Elf, Hobbit, etc. , life will always throw a few hurdles in your path. How everyone can draw from their inner strength to overcome them.

although the 3d one was a little boring...please dont throw rocks at me *puts rocks down* Woah! I've never heard that before. I've definitely heard people say the first one is boring, but the third?? Weren't you eager to see how it would end? I honestly thought both Sam and Frodo would end up in the Cracks of Doom. And I loved reading the Scouring of the Shire, where Merry and Pippin especially show who they've become! ~Aelish~

Hi Theodora.
VASTLY! There are quite a few elements that Peter Jackson (the director) was unable to add due to time constraints, so you should be pleasantly surprised by the extra things at the end of the book. ;D

I liked the sweet message of the movies/books. Even the smallest person can change the course of the future. In a world filled with super powerful beings who are of great importance the only person who could save the world was a tiny little hobbit. It just shows that there is a plan for everyone. I thought it was very sweet.
The awakening movie for me, I would say would have to be the Matrix trilogy.

I'm glad that you enjoyed it so much Rowan. I just knew that you would. And if you don't have a healthy supply of tissue you ahd better stock up. The tears only become more common the more that you watch. In fact, I cried all of the way through the last film in the trilogy - from the opening scene to the closing scene. Talk about a headache! Of course the events that unfold in the final film hold a lot of personal significance for me though, so that had a lot ot do with it as well. Sincerely, Laurasia

Well....like I said tissues will be needed. It's a lot like real-life, things are not all light & joy. You know the old expression "things go from bad to worse"? That rings true for the Fellowship in their quest. I really don't know how you can wait a week to see the rest of the trilogy! Go rent the other 2 at the video store woman! LOL! I had to wait a year between each installment & it was awful. I could only wish that the rest of it had been readily available. Sincerely, Laurasia
